IMPROVERS SESSIONS

Who we are

A mixed-ability group for people who have some previous experience running and want to push themselves.

We use local parks, the streets of Hackney and the Canals as our training ground to do tempo style hiit training sessions.

What to expect

For Tuesdays, we run between 8k and 14k depending on the type of training we’re doing i.e. speed or endurance.

If you can already run 10k in about an hour, we would recommend you come to the Tuesday session. The Tuesday session is mixed-ability. We have people training to run their first races as well as seasoned marathon runners. We structure sessions so that they are accessible to people of different speeds and everyone is able to improve their fitness.

where do we meet?

We meet at Hackney Bridge, Outrunners HQ (Unit DG04) and each week work on drills that aim to build endurance, speed and boost people’s running confidence.

This is a perfect session for anyone that thinks group running isn’t for them.

Our Club Values

  • ENCOURAGING HEALTHY LIFESTYLES

At the heart of what we do is encouraging adults and young people to improve their fitness, with all the physical and mental benefits this brings.

  • BREAKING DOWN BARRIERS IN THE COMMUNITY

We partner with brands and community groups to facilitate holistic youth programmes. We believe bringing together diverse groups of people encourages social cohesion.

  • GIVING BACK

We have an active and skilled community of runners. They give back to their local community by harnessing their existing networks, to give young people opportunities they might not otherwise have.
